Our Programs

First Aid Kits

In the heart of conflict, swift medical response can mean the difference between life and death. Recognizing this dire need, we stepped up to bridge the gap in medical resources. In collaboration with esteemed local organizations, we distributed over 2,000 military-grade first aid kits to those directly impacted by the ongoing war. Each of these kits has been meticulously curated to include vital medical supplies, ensuring that frontline heroes and civilians alike have immediate access to the tools necessary to address emergencies.

Armored Field Ambulances

Navigating the treacherous terrains of conflict demands specialized solutions. In response, we supported  the procurement and distribution of armored field ambulances across Ukraine's vulnerable regions. These aren't just any ambulances – they are fortified lifelines, designed for the express purpose of delivering rapid, life-saving care in the most perilous situations. Enhanced with state-of-the-art medical equipment—including monitors, defibrillators, and advanced oxygen systems—these vehicles stand ready to meet the emergent needs of the wounded.

Humanitarian Aid Packages

In the midst of war, the Ukraine Rising Foundation has actively supported the most vulnerable, including the elderly, families, disabled individuals, and single mothers whose partners are on the frontline. Despite logistical challenges, our collaboration with local partners has facilitated the delivery of over 15,000 humanitarian aid packages throughout Ukraine, even reaching remote areas. Each 40kg package contains clean drinking water, hygiene products, and non-perishable food items, distributed across four cardboard boxes. These essential supplies provide immediate relief to those in dire need, ensuring they have the basics to sustain themselves during these tough times.

Specialized Medical Resources for Kyiv Hospitals

From the early stages of the conflict, we recognized the acute need to reinforce hospitals faced with severe shortages of essential medical supplies and advanced equipment. Specifically targeting medical centers in Kyiv, our efforts have led to the procurement and delivery of vital medical assets. This includes patient monitors, ECG machines, defibrillators, ultrasound systems, trauma management supplies, hospital beds, stretchers, and medical trolleys  Our targeted assistance ensures that these medical facilities are better prepared to provide critical care, enhancing their capacity to save lives and support those affected by the ongoing conflict.

Generators to Medical Centers

During the first winter of the war, as Ukraine grappled with an energy crisis exacerbated by targeted Russian rocket and shelling attacks on civilian infrastructure, many communities faced the grim reality of power outages amidst freezing temperatures. Critical facilities, including hospitals, were left in the cold and dark. The Ukraine Rising Foundation quickly stepped in during this dire situation, securing emergency generators for a key medical center in Kyiv. This timely intervention ensured that the medical facility had a consistent power supply, allowing them to continue offering essential medical services even during power interruptions.

Refugee Support

Prompted by the conflict in Ukraine, nearly 8 million Ukrainians—representing Europe's largest refugee wave since WWII—sought safety abroad. The Foundation acted swiftly in the early weeks of the war, funding rescue efforts and supporting refugees in neighboring European countries, including Hungary, Moldova, Poland, and Romania. In collaboration with international partners and agencies, we facilitated vital assistance for Ukrainian families and individuals escaping the conflict. Importantly, women and children make up approximately 90 percent of those displaced, underscoring the urgency of our aid efforts. Our support enabled local organizations in these neighboring countries to provide transportation, shelter, food, and essential living necessities to the refugees, ensuring they were cared for during their journey to safety.

STEM Summer Camp for War Orphans

The ongoing war in Ukraine has profound effects on children's physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being. To counteract these adversities, we've backed a unique summer camp program pioneered by Ukrainian STEM-specialized schools and a cadre of European scientists. Hosted in Europe in the summer of 2023, this STEM-focused camp welcomed 270 high school students, addressing the social and recreational needs of teenagers aged 13-18. More than just an escape from the immediate threats of war, it offers guidance on career choices and in-depth exposure to prospective fields of interest. This initiative goes beyond short-term relief. By bolstering resilience and equipping these young minds with vital skills, we aim to prepare them not merely to navigate a post-war world but to thrive and carve paths of success and leadership.

International Academic Collaboration

Amidst the tumult of war, academic and cultural pursuits remain pivotal, lighting the path towards Ukraine's future. When North American universities rallied to support their Ukrainian counterparts, we provided matching funding to amplify their contributions. Beyond just financial assistance, these universities have also offered valuable resources, including online archival access and collaborative networking events. Such gestures enable Ukrainian scholars to broaden their reach and strengthen international ties. As fervent proponents of academic collaboration and the safeguarding of Ukrainian intellect and culture, we are proud to bolster these endeavors. With shared commitment and resources, the global academic community is forging an environment ripe for intellectual growth, underscoring our collective vision of a brighter, unyielding future for Ukraine.
